After what was imho a very disappointing 2011, it looks like Fairford 2012 is going to be a show to be remembered!

Three display teams not yet on the RIAT list but with participation announced by the teams themselves are:-

South Korean Air Force "Black Eagles" display team flying 8 x KAI T-50B Golden Eagles



UAE Air Force "Al Fursan" ("The Knights") display team flying 7 x MB339


And an old favourite, the "Patrouille Suisse" with 6 x Northrop F-5E Tiger II.


The usual teams - Red Arrows, Patroille de France, Frecce Tricolori, Jordanian Falcons etc - can also be expected and although pure speculation at the moment, there is also hope that the Japanese "Blue Impulse" display team (6 x Kawasaki T-4) who are expected to attend the Rome Air Show the previous weekend could attend.


A couple of other interesting aircraft confirmed are a Brazilian C-130 and an Italian AF KC-767.

It certainly looks like a good one but I think Mrs KMG and I will only be able to 'manage' the Waddo show this year . Better that than none at all IMHO . We'll be in touch with you before the Waddo show though Sharkmouth .

RIAT have today confirmed that the Breitling Super Constellation will be appearing at Fairford and making a flypast with the Breitling Jets display team. Should be quite a sight!

It looks like it's going to be a fantastic show!

Sadly (and contrary to what it might say on the official RIAT site), the Breitling Constellation has had engine problems which means she won't be appearing at RIAT (or anywhere else before August) this year.

Whilst it doesn't make the loss of the Constellation any easier to bear, the good news is that RIAT have announced there will be a GAF F-4 making it's final appearance before its retirement next year.

Woo hoo - just saw that the B-2 stealth bomber is to make an appearance at RIAT this year. Only a static display, but there nonetheless. If only Fairford wasn't such a PIA to get to!!!! Arrgh!
