Selling a 6 month old Breitling Navitimer 01 (Steel Bracelet). (Worn 3/4 times a month and has been in ready to sell state since May).

The condition of the watch is almost like new. I paid $7600 after HST for this watch, and letting this go for $1750 less.

Calibre 01 Movement

Includes original purchase receipt from La Swiss (AD), Box, Manuals, Still under warranty.

Meet up at a local La Swiss location in the GTA to verify authenticity for sale and safety in transaction.

Selling for $5850 CAD.

Thanks for looking.

I can probably take some better photos of the watch. I expected a local sale, so the buyer would probably see the watch in person (which is as described).

Still for sale and accepting offers.

I'm adjusting the price to down to $5600 CAD.

I know there has been some interest in shipping, but I prefer a local Toronto meetup.

I may be interested in a trade for Leica/Canon gear or lenses however remote that option may be. I'm looking for an M9 or long Canon prime.

Thanks for looking.

I had a few people ask me. To clarify:

a) The watch face has Numerals
b) The case diameter is 43.7mm
c) The case back is steel and is not a (Display/Exhibition) back.
d) Additional photos can be seen here: 1600pixels photos
d.i) The case needs a bit of cleaning. I'll offer a free case cleaning/polishing to the buyer.
e) Trades as mentioned above, are acceptable if it is what I am looking for.

Thanks for looking!

I had a potential buyer try to buy this from me locally (from the Ottawa area code). The individual was well spoken and called to ask me a few details such as price, age and condition. When I mentioned to meet at a local La Swiss dealer, the individual told me that it was not a problem, and that he would meet me there. He told me he did not need for them to actually "check" the watch and that he has a number of Breitling watches including the recent purchase of a Super Avenger and that he could spot authenticity just by inspecting it himself. There was some small talk and a bit of enthusiasm in his voice. Something seemed a bit odd, but I did not dwell into it any further. This was the Wednesday.

A day later on Thursday, he called back and asked if his bank had called me about confirming my name on the certified cheque he was about to issue to me. This raised a a bit of a red flag. On his previous call, he had not informed me about his intention to purchase. I told him I had not received such a call and let him know that my payment terms must either be: a cash transaction or a branch transfer at the teller if we both used the same bank. I could then hear a markedly different tone in his voice, like his enthusiasm had disappeared. He then started to stammer a bit and said that he could "probably" go to the bank and withdraw the cash and meet me at the La Swiss store this past Sunday.

After Thursday, all communications has ceased. No further emails and no calls. When I called, the phone does not answer and comes back with a "The person you have called has a voicemail box that has not been initialized."

Looks like my suspicions were confirmed!

-------------

So... The watch is still for sale!

"Gut instinct" can go a long way. Glad nothing bad happened. "Buy the seller and buyer" is a good rule of thumb. On a side note, this is why I HATE selling watches..... Good luck with sale!
