Well, much to the shock of much of you I am sure, I have decided that the Bronzo is not for me. Dont get me wrong, its an amazing watch that I very much apreciated, but it just was not my style and did not work with what I wore, my wife, who has been getting into my watch habit, hated the way it looked on me. I initially decided to just keep it in the box and see how things went down the road, but I received an offer I could not refuse, netting me a profit of 9500 USD. Not a bad deal since I scratched that itch and found out that it is not for me. I pocketed the original payment and immediately blew the profits on a Zenith, an FC, and a down payment on the new Yachtmaster in blue which should be arriving in a month.

As an aside, when I calculated my profit on the sale the number struck me, as it was precisely the amount of money that was stolen from me by that Canadian scammer Joe Kam I posted about a while ago. I am a religious person, and I believe there is a balance to things, call it divine intervention, karma, what have you, it is my belief that what goes around comes around. I was pissed at the idea of getting scammed, but knew I would be "reimbursed" eventually, just didn't think it would be in such an obvious way. I say this because I literally put no effort in this transaction, not even finding the buyer, and I am not in this hobby to make money.

Thought I would share the happy ending!

A $9500 profit! I've never heard of such a thing. I knew these Bronzos were in demand, but that's something else. In any case, I'm glad you were able to negate the scam.

Ahmed, that's great news all round, and so glad that you have now found some pieces that you are more comfortable. Can honestly say that I haven't given te Bronzo a second thought since picking up a Gefica Safari - if you feel the bronze itch again see if you can find one to try on and see how it feels.

Ahmed, I understand your feelings and sure wish my lead on a Bronzo would have panned out (well except for the "we found one for you for $20,000, lead), because I would have loved to know if it was "for me".

That's a great story Altair, glad it all worked out in the end. Wowsers on the premium you got from the sale.

Glad it worked out for you in the end, but I have to ask, how did you get scammed? I'm surprised by the amount of money involved...
