Turning local, Tim? Next thing you'll be joining the NRA. :poke:

Funny you should mention that Otto

In reality knife collecting isn't something that I'm into or anything. It's simply a factor of replacing a fishing knife and a general all purpose camping knife that I left back home. I've got to say though I get the attraction, it's kind of cool to check out all the options, metals, materials, designs etc.

Depends on how much you want to spend, give me a price range and I can throw a few models at you.

I have 6 total:
-5 Groomsman and 1 Best Man.

5 Groomsman are all college friends of mine. Some are in sales and do dress nice everyday and 2 of them have b/s jobs and could probably care less about cufflinks lol Therefore, I think for my groomsman I would stay in the <$50 range because I know some of these are gonna be thrown in a draw and never seen again. As for my brother(the best man) I want something in the $200-300 range. Not only is he my best man but he's my brother! I don't mind spending a little on him.

THANKS for your help! :lingsrock:

For your Groomsmen I would recommend something like this:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001I7 ... B1U1FA6TMC

Stunning value that, I have them and they are amazing for cheapies, though they wont look great in 20 years they do make very nice gifts and will do nicely for the occasional dresser.

For your bestman, I recommend something classic and timeless, these will do nicely:

http://www.montblanc.com/products/class ... 104497.php

Montblancs classic collection has great timeless designs and the quality is superb, price is within your range.

For yourself, I say splurge a little! Every man deserves at least one pair of really nice cuff links. These are my favorite pair and I cant recommend them enough:

http://www.davidyurman.com/shoponline/p ... emid=N0865

For something a little dressier and formal these are also stunning:

http://www.montblanc.com/products/fine_ ... 101546.php

One piece of advice to you and other watch lovers buying cuff links, stick to sterling silver and gold! Stay the heck away from steel! Silver and gold are softer than the stainless in your watches and is far less likely to scratch up your bracelets, dont cheapen out! Also, buy cuff links that have a longer handle bar, that way your cuffs are looser and you can fit those bigger watches in, also minimized scratches considerably!

Good luck.

Thanks for the help!

There is one issue I did fail to mention. I would like them all to slightly resemble each others, mainly for picture purposes. Also, I was thinking for the groomsman to have there initials put on them so they are a little more meaningful. However, for mine and the Best Man I don't need initials JUST QUALITY!

Do you know anything about Tiffany Cufflinks? I really do like the Montblanc ones to!

Thanks again Altair!!!!!!! Big help! :D

So I went to the Montlanc Store in king of Prussia, PA this weekend....WOW is about all I can say!

I see me having another hobby with out a doubt! :uplaugh:

I had my fiance with me to help pick out my best man gift which is still undecided...I liked too many :D AND THEN IT HAPPENED.... I see a sparkle at the corner of my eye in the showcase and this is what I saw....
http://www.engravably.com/Montblanc-Fin ... 02692.html

Simply beautiful! I turned to my fiance and said, "I found my gift from you" :D

She wasn't too happy with the $800 price tag but I believe I deserve it since I had to sell my liver to buy her rock

Thank you Altair for getting me started on my next expensive hobby!!! :uplaugh:

As much as I love watches, I definitely love some nice and unique cufflinks.

I've found Thomas Pink cuff shirts the best to show off cufflinks and not be so tight that your watch gets stuck under the cuff.

For fancy/nice attire, I really like Hermes and Tiffany cufflinks.

For more casual, yet spiffy attire, I really like Scott Kay or Robert Graham.

Nice watch + nice cufflinks = happy and hot wife :D

Yes, I collect cuff links in a modest way. I am a Freemason (anyone know what that is?) and wear French cuffs to lodge. I have a beautiful pair of 14K my mother gave me, heavy, with the Masonic Square and Compasses hand-engraved into the center of both.

I have the two faces of Drama-the smiling and the frowning- in china material. A friend gave me at least 10 pairs from wonderful England. Several with the St. John's Ambulance Society emblem, several with the Union Jack. Also, from my Bar Mitzvah (52 years ago!) I still have the Sterling set (with Tie Bar!) with my initial engraved that my parents gave me. I have Masonic Past Master's cuff links, 33rd degree cuff links, and a number of others.

Boy, did this topic bring back memories. Does anybody else want to share their cuff link memories?

Probably late as usual but here is an idea for the future. First name initial on one cuff and surname on the other:
