Captain obvious sharing more wonderful insight with us all.

I'd keep those two lings without question. :lingsrock:

Pretty pathetic life you have to spend your time following people around on a forum and trying to insult them. After everyone else moves on you're the immature kid who keeps yapping.

Frankly, I'm jealous. Nobody ever refers to me with a superhero name.

I don't think the maths would add up on that one! The Daytona is way too expensive (and over-priced IMO).

I would trade for the Yachtmaster mostly due to never owning that model yet.

I dunno why, but I really have a problem with the Daytona - always have. I like a lot of other Rolies though! :D

entirely objective

how much would the Breitlings sell for and how much the YM ?

if you're lusting after the YM it all comes down to how much the monetary value is between them and I would have to do some reseach but you may not be able to raise the cash selling the 2 B's to buy the YM, on the other hand you may end up with a little extra selling the 2 B's and buying the YM ?

I'd have to carefully research prices if I were you

Is it subjective? Absolutely

Would I make the swap? Not a fat chance.

Is monetary value impoant? Sure, if the math doesn't work out.

But, IMO sentimental value is more important. I would never part with my Breitlings. Especially those two iconic ones.

ok if you can keep this on the boards and you gurantee i will not get busted by head office, then i can share this with you........its not my favorite piece either. 2 reasons:

1) lack of date

2) price.

i would consider owning it if i could get one in precious metal.

sh** i gottat run i think that the rolex :popo: might be on to me

Neither would I but than I'm very biased towards Breitlings and as much as I've tried to like it, Rolex just does not do it for me as much as Breitling does. Maybe if it was the Daytona but than we are in a different ballpark.

Exactly my thoughts.

That's pretty much it for me as well. And the size too - a bit on the small side for me.

Same here. I basically like the Daytona, but to spend that much on a watch and not get a date just doesn't work for me, even though I know the whole no-date thing is an endearing feature for old school Rolex fans. Plus, there's something about having a tachymetre scale so prominently placed that just seems pointless for my own uses. The entire time I had my Evo, I think I used the tachymetre once to check my car's speedometer. It's just not a feature I have much use for, so to have the scale emblazoned on the bezel seems a bit much for me. (This same thing tempers my enthusiasm for the Speedmaster, too.)
