Which watch manufacturer provides the coolest watch box with their watches? I know Patek is up there because of the pure beauty but very few people have or will ever have a Patek, so let's keep it real.

Of all the brands that I have owned, I think Blancpain's presentation of the Fifty Fathoms is by far the coolest. A pelican case with a 'kevlar' type travel case, can't beat that!! I think I want to buy a FF right now just because of the pelican case 8)

For those of you who are going to say Panerai, their wooden box is no where near as nice as the Breguet boxes that their watches come in. Even some non-mainstream brands are welcome, Oris ships some of their dive watches in a diver's helmet. Cuervo Sobrinos ships some of their watches in a cigar humidor.

So what do you all think is the coolest watch presentation box?

I know...I had to be proactive and squash all the Pam fan boys out there. The Breguet XXI is in the same price range as a lot of Pams so I felt that it was fair to say.

I actually think the Oris is kinda neat also, and you don't have to pay an arm and a leg for it. I've purchased Pelican cases for other uses so probably won't buy a FF just for the case  .

PAM boxes suck. Plain tan color with that mouse fur lining that attracts every bit of lint in the house. Breitling boxes are pretty lame too, but I like the bakelite "historical" aspect of it and the little travel case. Rolex boxes are also pretty boring.

My blancpain had a nice grained wood box.

My first thought when I read the title was something that came in a pelican type case. I think thats pretty neat. I mean, a high end wooden box is nice, but its not particularly interesting.

Of the watches I've owned, Breguet was the classiest by far.

Bathys gave out a Pelican case with the Bathys logo on it. That was fun. I have also seen that helmet case and thought that was pretty neat, more cool than classy.

In terms of overall class I liked the Breguet a lot, though the polished wooden box for UN and AP are pretty nice, I'm tempted to say I liked them better. I'm trying to remember Franck Muller; I looked at a Casablanca a few years ago and remember really liking their packaging. There are a couple of owners here, maybe they can comment on it.

Most Breitling boxes are un-impressive except one; the Emergency. DVD, tester, warnings, it's all very cool. My Omega X-33 box is supposedly made from space suit material. No shit...

Now that's out-of-this- world Don!!!!!

Scott - I gotta disagree with you on the AP box, I was disappointed with it. It's small and the watch was difficult to pull out. I thought it was a poorly designed box for such an expensive timepiece. Breguet's was far nicer IMO.

That's cool, the Breguet box was large, I just liked the exterior finishing, polished wood for mine, for the AP. I can't speak to fit as I wore the watch out of the store, and haven't had it off much since. This has inspired me though, coinciding with me being kicked out of my wife's home office (actually a new decor issue-- I refuse to work in shabby chic  --) to bring out the boxes and put them on the bookshelf of my "new" home office (spare room in the house)

BTW--Space suit material sounds like a winner. Funny since standard Omega boxes are probably among the worst, in terms of durability at least. Of course, if Roff's Romain Jerome came in some way-out container it would not surprise me.

Fun topic, Serge.

Go makes a really nice watch box. It's a leather covered box with an excellent travel case inside. I cant wait for my GO to arrive at the end of the year!

As for worst boxes, it has to go to Omega. I think Driver said it recently, its time for them to update those red pleather boxes, come on!

The boxes that come with a Vacheron Overseas are pretty cool.

My BR02 came in a Pelican case. Not a specially made one either, but a standard black off-the-shelf one inside a Pelican-branded cardboard box. OK, so it's not slick from a marketing perspective, but it was like getting a little bonus with the watch.

In terms of classy presentation, I really like that VC box in Justin's post.
