I'm pretty sure it's arabic, letters are meem and wow.

It could also be initials, I mean we haver no clue if this is a one off, it could easily be a husband and wife initials painted on the dial.

Not according to nr123's assistant :nono:

I doubt that it's a one off, there is usually a minimum for a limited production run, but without an obviously recognizable logo and / or knowing which distributor / AD commissioned it then it's pure guesswork.

Would you like me to verify the authenticity of my statement by having her write that in arabic (that it's not arabic)? She is from Egypt, but don't forget, could be Lebanese. A person from Egypt would not know Lebanese.

Granted of course, Roffensian and Frederick know Italian and Latin fluently.

There are a number of Arabic logo dials out there, also some Sheikh commissioned dials. In fact there are quite a few of these, it certainly feels like it fits in with these, although i cannot specify which. Being so random, it would only appeal to certain individuals.

I'm preety sure if there were some commisioned by a sheikh, this is one like that. It's clearly stylized. It's for sure meem and wow. I don't care to argue with someone's assistant. Graffiti can be hard for some people to read, doesn't mean it's not english just because the font is complicated.

Starting to bug me now!

Since I don't know Arabic, I saw the logo as a stylised running man carrying a parcel so have been searching for a courier company.

Not got anywhere but posting my thoughts simply to open up the possibility of it being something other than Arabic lettering.

Someone crack this and put me out of my misery!

OK, here is another theory.

My Middle East contact tells me that it is the characters H and M or in Arabic Ha Meem.
If you google you will find that Ha Meem apparently appears in Koran at the beginning of a number of verses, with no clear meaning but associated with praise of the almighty, etc....
Far from being an expert on any religious matters never mind Islam, I quickly gave up the research of the meaning of Ha Meem as it is quite a complicated concept even to the scholars apparently. In any case, its Friday night, beer o'clock.

Here is one example:

As to who commissioned this Breitling edition is another chapter in this riddle.

Good Luck :huh
