Not the best picture, but this arrived at Govberg yesterday. I still think the silver dial will look better.

cruelly crushed expectations for me, better pics will not save it

just a reminder of what had raised my hopes for an iconic new release, the teaser pic:

That's disguisting, why bother even taking a photo of that train wreck.

Missed opportunity for sure, very disappointing.

Take out the fourth grade geography class globe on the dial and it is a winner. Pretty early arrival for a Basel announcement, though.

Basel was earlier this year because of construction at the hall (and will be later next year).

Yep, it's just as hideous in the wild as it is in the official photos (except for the teaser picture of course). Lose that horrendous Playschool globe and make the date a little more discrete (I think 4.30 dates need to hidden away nicely not with a whopping shiny box round it), and it would've been a great watch. Oh well, never mind eh?

it really is a shame, as the B05 is quite an impressive Caliber and offers a very nice technical solution for a Worldtime chrono, this could have been a true dream watch - but Hank, the Cod .......

the white dial looks slightly less hideous, waiting to see some real world pictures.

I still much prefer the "normal" Transocean - black dial steel version on mesh, with "hidden" date window and almost wearable 43 mm size. A date window with vertical digits (like on the Valjoux 7740 - based Navitimers) and a 40 mm case would make me smile even wider...
And a nice touch is the unlimited see-through case back. Would prefer this - and the vertical date - on the Chronomat 41 too.
Best,
Robert

I actually like it. It's a great looking elegant classy watch and love the huge 46mm size! :lingsrock:

Here's some much better photos of this watch I found online.

It's not as bad in the real life as the pictures. I didn't realise it is 46mm. That's just ridiculous; totally out of keeping with the style.

46mm??!! Did not realize either. Out of my league. I'm glad I got my TOC LE.
