I have to be with JacksonStone on this one - I have seen pics of a similar watch on another thread (and I wouldn't dream of saying this in that thread for fear of offending the guy concerned). What strikes me with this watch is that it seems to be built from 'odds and sods'. Take a look at how many different fonts there are on that face. 1 - the rotating bezel and the 24 hour markers (inside the sliderule), 2 - the sliderule, 3 - the subdials, 4 - the date window. If somebody typed a letter to me in 4 different fonts unless it was for effect, then I would not be too impressed. Hmmm, must try harder. :watchout:

With you on that. Watchmakers really don't ever seem to pay attention to that. When has one last seen a chrono with a font matching the main one? Maybe that's why I like simple watches with little to no writing on them... Or batons instead of arabics...

It's hard enought to find a watch with a matching date wheel as is, don't make it worse by messing with fonts...

Not very good pics. I will wait to see it on the metal. If the white dial looks anything like the publicity pic, I am getting it on brown croco.

I like the black dial more than I thought. Is the case polished with a brushed bezel?

LOVE it. The bezel is brushed, and everything else polished. I like the brushed bezel because it tones it down just enough. Can't wait until it hits the streets. :D

Damn, look at what I've missed being gone for a month. I really like that black dial one.

I could get used to this one.
My problem with the GMTs is the HUGE red arrow head hand.
I would've preferred something a little more subtle.
Same with the Superocean Heritage, love the watch but not that arrow hand.
It just does not fit in with the rest of the watch design for me.
Sad because that's the only thing that is holding me back on the SOH and it will be the same with the GMT 44

:-(

I know this post is a little old, but the pictures by Willows are great. I tried this watch on today for the first time at the AD. Granted the size is a lot better than the previous 47mm, but to me still wears a little big. But my taste in watches have shrunk in size the past few years. I was really looking forward to seeing it in person. I can see why people love it, but at nearly $10K, it better be a lot of love. Just sayin. For me, the love isn't there.
