They colored the subs black and call it an LE. The Design and marketing directors at Breitling should be kicked in the nuts.

Could be!

Thing is, one of those was issued well after the new CSO came out and the other appears to be all brushed.

Japan has a lot of pull with Breitling and Breitling have been doing things for them that they wouldn't do for anyone else for years - 20+ DB LEs in the last 10 - 15 years.

The two things I've never really liked about the CSO were the contrasting subdials and the polished case. This is just about perfect for me.

I lived in Japan 4 yrs....One thing I can tell you they are fanatics(in a nice way) about mechanical
and electronic things.
Kids use electric erasers...Men line up 20- 30 cars deep and wait hours to play golf!
Scuba diving is done by Clubs with club buses and 50 people all in the water at once.
If one has a watch...15 more buys one too.
They probably have watch clubs with meetings third thursday of the month.
Great people...The nicest on the face of the earth...Along with Canadians.

It is my understanding the Japanese pay full-price no discounts - period!

(No discounts for any item which is considered luxurious.)

So the pull that Japan pull's is mullah - hard currency.

Cheers,

Enezdez

Not really.

Yes the consumers pay list price, but the price that distributors pay Breitling is fixed anyway so the absence of discount benefits the distributor, not Breitling.
