Once by the husband of an old school friend. I told him yes, he tried my old GMT Master on and was fascinated by it. Another time by some kid in the Apple store sporting something large, like a Nixon. Had a two-tone then, it caught his eye. He just wanted to see it. I don't think he'd ever seen a real Breitling before. I told him it was real, he looked at it and was very complimentary and we went our separate ways. My watches have been noticed from time to time, always a pleasant compliment. My old silver Navi Heritage got the most compliments, all from women. Guys seem to notice the Rolex more. Nobody said anything about my old Breguet, which I still think was the most beautiful (even though it was brown) one of all. If only I could convince myself that the XX isn't too small.

I got asked by a not too close friend if my Rolex daytona was fake, I handed it to him he said its fake cos no engraving on the back.
I said "you couldnt tell shit from putty, that's why your windows keep falling out"

What was your reply Twotone? IMHO, if somebody asks and can't take the response - that's their problem and not mine. Personally, I would be offended if a member of staff asked me that in a bank anyway .

People have noticed my watches. Usually it was another watch nut, and we strike up a conversation. Or, it's a younger guy with an interest in watches looking where to go with his money on his first. Either way, it's been pleasent.
