I'm with 46crew here...I LIKE IT! Although I'm a fan of the accuracy the SQ provides...and I believe it's a classy look for an entry-level B-ling. I even like the radiant lines in the two opposite quadrants, looks especially nice on the white face. I know I'm in the minority, but can see how this can sell...

You're an AD of course you're going to say you like it. Anytime I have asked an AD what they think of a watch they gush over how amazing it is. I've never heard an AD say "don't buy this watch it's so ugly"

The edges on the bezel and case might be the ugliest thing I have ever seen.

Wow we've really got a hate-on for this watch. Predictably I'm with Fred, Roff and Driver. I'd go for haddock instead of cod tho.

You forgot the 'C'

That's what I didn't like about the date window, if that's the "C" you mean -- the semi-surround.

I can't get past the C. Other than that; I like lots of it.

I just noticed that the box around the date window isn't finished either, now looks like the letter C using that font.

:yeahthat That was the first thing that struck me about this watch - that 'C' looks like it was an after-thought.

It's fair to say the white dial is a considerable improvement over the black.

I still don't get the radiant lines in the upper right and lower left quadrants. Why not either do the whole dial that way, or none at all? :huh

You're right 'Sooner' - the white face does look MUCH better than the black but the radiant lines really do look naff :| .

Not sure where you got the idea I'm an AD. Maybe a reference I made about sales? Rest assured I am no dealer, nor do I have any affiliation with ANY dealer. That said, the Colt is really growing on me...and maybe it's a factor of all the opposing opinions. I suppose if I were to make a purchase I wouldn't have to worry about seeing too many others out there!

I think mfserge was referring to the OP (Ricardo, who IS an AD)

Fair enough. Each to their own, and I do know where you're coming from.

I was merely saying that they are not AS bad as I originally feared. I still would never buy one personally.

Also, I am not saying this just because I work for Andrew Michaels. If you look back at my history of commenting on the new Colts I have been as uncharitable as most here on their aesthetics. Andrew isn't planning to get any of the new Colts in (mentioned previously). We only had this one in as a special customer request.

As an interesting afterthought: I have had a few customers in the shop over the last couple of months who are looking to buy theirr first high end watch. Upon going through the Breitling catalogue with them two have said they would like to buy a new Colt and one walked away with a Chronospace. So, maybe, Breitling have got their new designs right if they are looking to attract a whole new generation on clientele. I just hope they do not alienate the existing Breitling fans as a result.

Ricardo, for an AD your endorsement was very, very low key. To each their own, as you say.
To the really relevant: Hope your father is getting better !

Thank You very much for your continued kind thoughts Fred.

My Dad is still with us and still fighting. He continues to be a great inspiration to me.

Sadly, he did get yet another chest infection just before Christmas which knocked his brain rehabilitation back to zero but he's fought through that and he remains in relatively good spirits.

Thank You again.

Went to the AD today just to take a look on the new Colt 44, they have the black and the blue one, both with the new bracelet.
I was interested on them the first time I saw them on the net, and looking at them in metal, trying both on my wrist.... I must say that now I have a problem... I need to choose between the blue or the black! =b
They are the right watch to pick and go, for daily use, and for me they look really good!

Did the 44 wear a bit on the small side? I am seriously thinking about one for my wife. Obviously I don't think they are the anti-christ like some here. I like it more and more everytime I see it.
