All I can say is wow! George was nice enough to invite myself and wife to the Omega event that Govbergs held at an amazing restaurant in Philly last night and I must say... Everythujg was first class and then some! I sat next to Danny Govberg and he is one of the coolest guys vie ever met, next to George of course. :D

Anyways we did one of the coolest yet most frustrating tasks ever... Disassembling an Omega watch! I can honestly say I understand why servicing a watch costs so much money! Let's just say that I quit after 5 minutes. I took the first screw out which had taken me 5 minutes and seeing the thing was not easy!... Better yet, the watch master looks at me and says, "and that was the big one". I quit right after that :D

So I ended up leaving with an Omega tool kit and magnified piece which is very cool! I also have an extra incase anyone is interested. Not quite sure what they are worth but they don't look all that cheap if you ask me.

Thought id share!
:cheer:

Cool, what kind of watch did you take apart? I'm sure that tool kit is pretty sweet.

Wow... 3 PM's in 10 minutes! Didn't expect this one... I'll post photos tomorrow and the sweat bag they gave me too.

I have no idea it worth?

It has a cas holder, the eye piece magnifier, 3 screw drivers and brass tweezers. Practically brand new!

Am I allowed to take offers till 5pm EST tomorrow and then the highest bidder takes it???? Not sure what to do on this one

Of all the watches for you to destroy it had to be a PO? Was it a new version?

Not sure... But I will include the bag which IMO is cooler than the kit!

I'm honestly not too sure, but what the guy told me was that all of the watches will be sent back to there training department for repair for people looking to become a watchmaker. Its a good practicing tool I guess. Makes sense.

That's cool. At least they're not using people's watches sent in for warranty repair. Though from the things I've heard about about their customer service I wouldn't be too surprised.

Do a give away raffle like shark and admid does. You got it for free; don't flip it for a profit. Or I'll trade you a BNIB black breitling backpack for it. It's a nice one.
