Afternoon all.
I sent my Emergency away for a full service back in about Sept and finally got it back at the start of Novemeber, it looked absoloutely stunning after a full strip and polish etc.
After about a week however I noticed that some of the paint on the numbers on the bezel was starting to rub off, this was only with being worn to the office a couple of times. I wore it a few more time over the next few weeks, flew with it a couple of times but did nothing that you would expect to cause the paint to come off. By the end of a month, almost all the paint had come off the bezel numbers so I took it back to the local dealer and they suggested sending it back to Breitling which I've now done.
Has anyone else ever had nearly all the paint come off the bezel this quickly ? I bought this watch to be worn for its intended purpose and I dont want to be afraid to wear it in case the paint rubs off every time its worn.
Really not impressed given you'd expect such a watch to be pretty robust and I've never had any such problems with any other quality watches I've owned. Getting pretty frustrated as I really love the watch but having owned it since Aug its spent 90% of that time with Breitling and I'll now be lucky to see it until the new year.
Hopefully it was just a bad batch of paint or some issue with the finishing not being completed properly etc...interested to hear if anyone else has had similar issues however?
Regards
Des
