Hi,
I have just inherited a Breitling TransOcean 7102, which is in very good condition.
Checking this site, I came across a discussion back in Aug 2010, where a post was made on : "TransOcean 7102: An Overlooked Gem?"
http://www.breitlingsource.com/phpBB2/v ... 11&t=28709

The watch I have is identical in every respect, face, colour, hands, dial, bracelet etc...

My question is, although I have small rists and the watch looks rather large on me, is this worth keeping as an investment?
I am not sure such a large watch on my wrist looks right, so have stuck with my present Rolex AirKing, OK, I know its a Rolex!! But it works, fits well and does not look
imposing on me.

So, if anyone has any feedback on the Transocean, I would very much appreciate it.
Should I keep it or pass it on to someone who may be able to wear it with pride and where it does not look like it is to big for the wrist being worn on.

Well it's not really big by today's standards!

If you like it and you feel that it looks good on you then who cares what anyone else thinks - wear it and enjoy it.

These pieces fluctuate in value depending on the economy and collectability, but this is never going to be a five figure watch so no need for it to become a 'safe queen'. By the same token, with care and regular maintenance it will be worth just as much in a few years as it is today.

It's a nice watch!

Thank you for the replies. Looks like I will get it serviced and wear it for a while, lets see if it feels comfortable and not so big on my wrist.
Otherwise you may see it for offer in a few months!!
