There was a post not too long ago on the Zenith forum on TZ where a member sent in his watch for service and it came back with scratches all over the movement. From what I remember, Zenith eventually took care of him and I think the moderator of the Zenith forum on there helped him out. Here is the thread:

Thanks Justin.

I must admit that my view on Zenith is changing through this experience. Recently had an opportunity to pick up some very cheap Defy Extremes but just not confident in Zenith's willingness (ability?) to stand behind them right now.

Customer service is everything. I should post this probably in the "Off Topic" forum, but Mercedes Benz has horrible service. I have had an S500 and now an ML500 and S55.

Took the ML to the dealership because it would not always start right away, and then the seat warmer stopped working. They gave me a loaner car so that I can drive back home - this was on a Monday. Wednesday the guy calls, says the service team is working on an estimate, will call me back later that evening. They don't call. Thursday they call, tell me it's over $3,000 worth of servicing.

Are you kidding me - there is no way it needs that much work, the serviceman tells me that he needs the loaner back THAT day if I don't do the work. I told him EXCUSE ME? Was I the one that took 4 days to give an ESTIMATE? NO. I am not leaving work to drop off a loaner, I do not work on YOUR schedule. He agreed that they would wait until the next day for the loaner. Ultimately, the repairs at the local shop cost $1,200.

Blah - sorry for the rant, but when I heard about the service, just made me think of that guy giving me an attitude on the phone, meanwhile I've bought three cars from him over the years.
