I was in NYC today visiting my brother, so I stopped into the Breitling Boutique to look around. I must say I wanted a Omega PO for sometime but now this watch has gotten me rethinking things. The weight, fit, and finish is amazing and with a price tag of $3900 I think I can see it in my future. I really loved what it looked like on the wrist. Has anyone else had a chance to try one on? I would love to hear what people think about it.

Glad I got my Steelfish before they started putting those silly rubber bezels on them.

I love mine. I know many people disagree with the rubber bezel but I love this watch.

When it comes to this watch, it really isn't the rubber bezel insert I dislike. I don't particularly dislike it. It's mainly that it replaced the Fish. There are guys on all the Breitling forums scrambling to get a remaining or lightly used Fish. Such an awesome watch and great value an innocent vitim of Breitling rider tab/conventional bezel slaughter.

Have to agree a fantastic watch - apart from the rubber bezel. If only they'd put on a ceramic bezel. Nothing wrong with the look of the bezel but will it last?

Does anyone know if Breitling have any plans to go for a ceramic bezel on any new models?

I love the watch, however a ceramic bezel would be amazing.

Is it a polished or brushed finish? I can't tell from pics.

It is the Steelfish with the dial and bezel swapped out. Case, end links, everything else the same. Heck they didn't even have to remachine - just kept producing the same case.

You'd rather have a SO44 over a PO??????? Are you kidding me??????????? The all new PO Chrono is in another league than the toys Breitling has released.

I'd love for someone to tell me why so many have this fascination with the ceramic bezels. All the guys that I know who have them now hate them because the rest of the watch wears relatively evenly, but the bezel always looks like it's brand new. The "old" painted bezels hold up well. You're eventually going to have a nice, patina'd watch with what looks like a brand new bezel. Am I the only one who is not a fan?

That's an interesting point. My guess is most people want to try to limit the appearance of wear and figure the ceramic bezel just makes it easier.

It's both brushed and polished. Top part of case is brushed, side is polished.

Look Breitling could make a bezel option out of dog turds and it wouldn't bother me. Just retain a classic metal bezel. It's too late I suppose, but that's all I would want.
