Somehow I missed this one in the Basel coverage.

I'm not normally a Citizen guy (nor a quartz guy for that matter) but I can't resist flashy toys and I think this one looks really cool. As soon as it caught my eye I went off to the internet to find out more... and discovered, unfortunately, that it's going to be $3,800, which puts it way beyond toy money (for me at least).

I guess the technology will trickle down to cheaper models eventually if it is successful, but the look of this particular one is what appeals to me. Not sure how I feel about the movie tie-in though!

Wow. Very different. Sounds like a true LE in the short term at least. I would wear one but wonder about the long term value given the tech component. Very cool though.

Technology doesn't really appeal to me, although it is very cool. The design I like a lot.

Wow, that does look awesome. Although not for $3800 imo even with the satellite updates, whats wrong with manual adjustment every ten days or so?? and does it need to be that accurate for most people?

I like the look - the black with the green lines kind of reminds me of the look in Tron Legacy. I'm in the middle on the movement - very cool technology, but as I said the other day, high-end watches for me are about mechanics not circuits. I hate the price though.

Meh - no thanks. Doesn't add up for me, 3800 for a Citizen? No matter how many green accents you plop on it, I'm not sure it's worth it. I kissed the idea of an "accurate at all costs" watch goodbye a long time ago - nothing appealing about the satellite feature to me.

Good intentions, bad judgement.

I love the concept, but the execution for a quartz watch at almost $4k USD is crazy. Offer it for under $1k and I'd buy it as I love to travel and it's a good "beater" watch. But it's just a bit too "green" if you travel a lot and want a watch that can pull off multiple looks.

It seems kind of gimicky to me. My iphone keeps perfect time since it talks to the cell towers which is kind of like the satellites. I'm sure every low end quartz digital watch will eventually have some type of communication like this to keep the time perfect. I also am not a big fan of the neon green.

Good find Otto. I like the design and I've owned a citizen in the past and liked it for what it was however that price is just wrong.
