Hi all,

I just got my first Breitling today, as an advance birthday present from my husband, although I chose the watch myself. I have to say that I am absolutely delighted with it - it is very much entry-level for the brand (ladies' Colt Oceane, blue face), but as an introduction to Breitling, it really is a great watch. I've had a number of Tag Heuers in the past, and I still rate them highly, but I can see why Breitling is in another league. I considered a number of other quality brands when hunting around, but TBH this model was the only one that fitted my needs in terms of quality, functionality and design. I aspire to a Galactic 30 in the future, but for the next few years, and for everyday wear, I think I may become an afficionado of the brand. I'm just worried that, having just returned from a holiday in the Far East, anyone seeing the watch will be asking if it's a fake ... I'll let them look and decide for themselves :)

My husband wants the Blackbird LE that he saw today ...

This is a great forum and was helpful when I was looking at the brand and model. Thank you!

Et voila mesdames et messieurs! I've always been a fan of ladies' sports watches but find the current range of Tags and Omegas either a bit too big or a bit too small for my wrist. But this Breitling is the perfect size and in a different league as far as I can see. Functional and everyday, but not without its own elegance (... oh and the date display is big enough to read too!!!).

Can you see the pics? Trying to add them from Flickr ...

You need to copy the BB code rather than the standard link - flickr isn't always that intuitive.

There is no such thing as entry-level. It's a Breitling. Period. And if you love it, that is all that counts.

Congrats on the new acquisition and enjoy it. :lingsrock:

You are absolutely right!

Part of me felt a bit bad at only really being able to get one of the cheapest models, but that said, it is a watch of superior quality and that can be seen and felt. As I mentioned above, I've always loved sporty watches for everyday wear and this really fits the bill ... along with a real sense of style and panache. The diamond option was a bit too "bling" for me. And yes, I really do love it and am loving wearing it too. I feel as if I've just joined a special club, and this is a great forum :cheer:
