But.you will pay much less on the Navi or IWCs because of much better discount. The Navi retailing at 8450 cost me much less than my GMT master IIc or SubC.

Not to beat a dead horse, Tom, but is that the current MSRP on the Navi 01? And are you talking strap or bracelet? If I recall, you bought yours before the latest price increase. Authenticwatches.com shows current retail on the 01 on bracelet to be $9520. I know they aren't always right, but they're usually not far off.

That's the LE on the bracelet and I think Breitling even charged a premium for the bracelet on the LE. The 2011 Navi 01 was $8450 and may have gone up 4-5% since I bought mine. But it will still be less than what I can get the mentioned rolex ceramic models for.

Crap...I forgot about the LE. In looking again, Authenticwatches is only selling the LE and the old ETA-based Navi, not the standard 01. Sorry for the misinformation.

barely anyone notices anyway.

Allow me to disagree Tom. That's what I thought too but I had some remarks (positive, but envious nevertheless, I might add) from clients I really thought they didn't give a damn.

@ OP I would go for the Navi or the Portuguese.

True. I don't know what kind of a discount you got on the Navi 01, but if one were able to get the normal 25% discount, it would actually sell for a little over $6300, bringing it within spitting distance of the Explorer's retail of $6200. I haven't tried haggling for Rolex discounts yet, but my understanding is they are both (1) harder to come by, and (2) not as substantial as on other brands, even when you can come by them - 10-15% at best.

How are you liking your Navi, btw?

I have 2 navi 01 limiteds left. 10-15 is about all you can get on rolex in the sport lines.

They're all great watches -- not a bit flashy. I would
seriously consider the Inge -- that's a watch you can grow
old with; never goes out of style. Coincidentally, I recently
sold my Inge 3227 (sob! :( ) to a close friend who absolutely
loves it. He, owns a Blackbird as well (no problems yet) and says
each watch complements the other.

The Ingenieur's styling defies trendiness; and as you move on in life
(and in years) it will go with you, a trustworthy companion. :)

Thanks for all the helpful input. I am going to be in Vegas the next few days so hopefully I will get to see the watches in person before making a decision. Regardless of what I decide on, I will be sure to post pics!

To each their own, get the one you like. many people have no idea what is on your wrist, and those who do, will appreciate your choice in any of those fine pieces. I have a couple b's, and most people mistake think they are tags or other similiar more generic type brands, who cares? reward you with what you like, you worked hard for it and deserve to be happy with your choice.
