R.E.M.

Great song.

~Brian

Great song and a great band.... hence my username! (Driver 8 is a song on their Fables Of The Reconstruction album).

I'm seeing them in the summer for the first time live. Looking forward to it enormously!

but everyone in scotland hates the proclaimers and really wishes they WOULD walk 10,000 miles (preferably off a short pier)

Camel are the bys, seen them live every tour since raindances and have met the lads....well Andy Latimer, Richard sinclair and Andy Ward a couple of times

still mourn the loss of the fantastic Peter Bardens!

ahhh.....memories!

Do they really?? I thought they'd be pretty popular north of the border due to the er..... "partisan" nature of some of their lyrics!

You can't beat a bit of - "Take'a looooke up the railtraaaack", etc, etc

I have the misfortune of living relatively close to a casino that tries to attract people by booking big name has been bands - they have an uncanny ability to book acts that my wife really wants to see.

So in August we are doing Earth, Wind & Fire and UB40.

Next week, I have the joy of Gloria Estefan. Things aren't as bad as you might think though as Gloria Estefan is to my wife whay a Mark VI Complication 29 is to me - so it may be a long evening out - but it's going to be quite the night

Don't be surprised if I'm a little light in my posts next Thursday as I recover

So true about the Proclaimers.

I was at Stirling Castle Hogmanay (New Year) celebrations and THEY were playing.

At about 11.15 pm (before they started) I was begging to go home. It was dreadful!!

Me - I like Genesis (seen 'em in the '70s 80's & noughties) and James Taylor (not seen yet). Quite a wide variety in between too.

Never heard of the "Sunflowers". Are they any good?

..................I think I lost the thread of this thread!
