I'm not sure if it's just my local Breitling AD's or a much wider trend but just recently I've noticed the odd watch turning up in AD displays with blue dials and brown straps. Today I saw a blue dial Navi World with a brown leather strap, and a blue dial Chronomat with a brown croco strap.

What are your thoughts on this particular colour combo??

Personally I hated it when I first saw it...... but now I'm slowly coming round to it! Whatever next! I'll be buying a diamond bezel before you know it! <kidding>

Sounds awfull. But then again I cant stand blue straps at all either. To each his own I suppose.

A blue dial always works best on a stainless bracelet, or a black croco strap if your stretching it in my opinion.

That was my opinion first off, but it grows on you. (But then so does athletes foot! )

I've just been having a play around with the "fitting" options on the Japanese site (http://www.breitling.co.jp/fitting/) and there's some models I quite like in that combo.... Worrying!

+1

Blue dial = Stainless bracelet only.

(In my opinion)

blue, black, whit,MOP or any color face is always better on a bracelet 8) I had my blue faced world on a black croco while waiting for my bracelet and I just thought it was FUGLY! Some of the brown croco straps look good on gold watches sometimes. Driver8 do not cross that line

Yeah I don't think I'm going to venture down that route just yet Naviman! I was just curious as to the general consensus on that colour combo after seeing a few examples in a couple of ADs.

.....And I think the forum has spoken!

What a relief! I was starting to worry about you for a few minutes  That combo would look terrible in the M3!

I agree - that combo is not my cup of strap either.

But yes, at the japanese site you can make some strange combos - nayone in for a turquoise Cockpit Chrono with a pink leather strap?
