I think this thread deserves to be a sticky. A lot of people can benefit from the information in here.

:yeahthat

Who said that this is a watch only forum? That's why I love this place.

Thanks a trillion spiderer. Now I must find some free time to exercise. What should I expect from my old Sony DSC W-100? Can I make anything out of it?

+2. I was going to save it to favorites but a sticky is better.

Boy, I have A LOT of work ahead of me. I guess the first step is to get photoshop. I take a bunch of photos and sometimes one comes out fine without any retouching. After seeing how much work goes into your images, I now realize why my photos never looked up to par.

Thanks for the manual.

A lot of compact cameras can do a good photo in the right hands ;) There is my very old photo with some Casio compact camera that was very cheap, its not so bad i think :)

Spiderer, you are a genius! That looks fantastic! Now I am truly inspired to go out there and try some new things with the cam and my Breitlings. Thanks man

Spider, the camera is just a tool, the photographer takes the shot. Great work.
Best health, Frank.

That's the statement of the day, Frank. I bought my first digital camera when my son was born 7 years ago. It's a "pro-sumer" Olympus C5060. It always took good photos but nothing as impressive as the photos here. One day, at my sister's wedding the wedding photographer used my camera to take some photos of my son and they turned out GREAT. It was just a matter of having an "eye" for a proper composition.
