Hell All!

I am about to finally pick up my IWC Mark XVI with bracelet within the next month. As a result I was already plotting my next watch. This whole watch thing is an illness lmao! I am contemplating a Panerai - Radiomir from the Historical Collection.

My AD has both a Pam 183 & a Pam 210 pre-owned/vintage. I am inclined towards the Pam 183 due to the seconds dial but I also like the un-cluttered clean crisp look of the 210. My questiom is which of the two watches is more historically correct and/or encapsulates the essence of Panerai? Or is the Luminor the quintessential model/style?

Thanks in advance for your prompt replies! Happy Holidays To All!

Cheers,

Enezdez

Die hard Panerai collectors seem to unanimously lean to the "base" models...so in the case of Luminors a 000 or 005. For Radiomirs the same models would be 210 and 183 respectively. I am pretty sure that the original case mirrors the Radiomir style, and would have been without the seconds leaf at 9 o'clock.

I prefer the 183 over the 210, but you can't go wrong with either. Once you get the first one you will catch "the fever" and will quickly be planning your 2nd.

"base" means no second hand...if ur going panerai, then go all the way, i.e. the 210 base instead of the 183.

my first pam was a 183 black seal...but i eventually found it too cluttered. the 210 is more "dna"-correct.
