Hello everyone, been looking at the avenger for a while. I really liked the code yellow but I have heard it has been sold out at breitling and I can not order one of them.
SHould I consider buying one of them from the grey market, or is it not worth it?

I was wondering if you guys can give your opinion on what dial looks best on a regular avenger, is it the black dial or the gray dial? I tried the gray and I think it had a nice (more classy) look to it, but the black also seems nice. Can't really decide. Maybe you can give your opinion on what looks best with a pro bracelet in steel?

How do you think the avenger looks on smaller wrists, is it usually OK, because the actual glass part of the watch is not too large? Reason I ask is because I remember trying on somebodies 45mm watch and it seemed huge, but I think the glass portion (maybe dial?) of the watch took up the whole top. I have tried this watch on and it seemed fine but just wanted to knwo your opion if this watch looks smaller than the 45.6mm that it is? Maybe it is also the large thickness which helps to not make it look so large.

Grey and black dials are fine, I used to have a blue dial and it was good as well. It looked different as well under various lighting conditions.

What size is your wrist? I have a 7.5" wrist size (probably smaller now) and the 44mm Avenger looks fine. I think what you need to 'worry' about is the height of the Avenger (I'm assuming by the way that you're looking at the Skyland).

It also all depends on how you wear your watch. Just see those folks with Panerai's - it works well on small wrists as well. 44mm now a days are not that big

The Skyland is quite tall so it may interfere with long sleeve button down shirts.

I would go with the Black face and it is thick. It is worth it, I had to part with mine, picked an beautiful replacement that I love, still miss this piece. If I can I will own one again even just to look at.
Best health, Frank.

I'm for the black. The grey looks like a faded black to me.

If the lugs hang over the edges of your wrist, thats usually the sign that it might be too big. Of course, if you like the way it looks, go for it. As for the color, thats completely up to you. Just buy the one that you like the most. Buying a color that you dont LOVE because some guy on a watch forum said he likes it the most, probably isnt a very wise decision.

:yeahthat on both counts size and color. Having said that, since you're looking for an opinion  I personally think the gray is a little more rare and goes great with the pro bracelet.

Check with FEAR since he has what you're looking for the code yellow :lingsrock:

Code Yellow gets my vote. The "Brightling" yellow ads visual pop and IMO it´s been added very tastefully. I really like it! Second choise would be Avenger with a black dial. My ultimate choise is the original Avenger Skyland with white numbers and hands which I have. The same that is in Helderbergs photo.

You can still get a Code Yellow...your local AD may not have it, but they are still out there. FEAR already posted that he has one, and you can also ask jnelson3097. I'm sure both of them will be able to find one for you. I was at my AD a little over a week ago, and he still has one with the batons and the brushed case on a DPII strap.

If you really want the Code Yellow then don't settle for the Avenger with any color dial...get the Code Yellow. PM the guys I listed above and I am sure they will hook you up!! Good Luck.

I picked up a blue Skyland a year and a half ago and love it. Between my Steelfish and this, I wear the Skyland more.

That's understandable, but between these two, it really is a tough choice.
