what would it be?

This is my cherished vintage Breitling I have had from new. I've never seen a Breitling that comes close...until now.

I fell for this a few weeks ago, and its on its way.

But now this has appeared on the Breitling website .

or this,

The website suggests the standard TO has the display back. In which case there's little to justify getting an LE. Does anyone know for sure what caseback the non-LE will have?

The icing is on the cake, but I want to see the jam inside too!

That silver dial version with the black subdials is gorgeous!

I like the LE with the black dial and silver subdials, but the all black dial of the non-LE looks a bit bland to me. But this one is easily as nice, if not nicer than the LE IMO. Just beautiful.

The website definitely says it has a DB, but then again the Breitling website once muddled up the BS AS with the BS SA, so I wouldn't put too much faith in it at times!

That combo is, by far, the most beautiful IMO.

And it would look even better with a Tom's dark brown strap.

My personal opinion is that the watch you already have is STILL the best! But that's just my .02c. It is one of the best watches I've ever seen a picture of. Very very classy. I also love it on the strap in your picture. Even though the other watches DO come very close, the one you own still wins hands down and clearly, even if just by a hair's margin.

How can I find out if the std TO has a display back? If it actually has one, I'd be sorely tempted to try and renegotiate the LE deal for the silver on calf.

Ok I'll finally admit that I like it even though it's a TO :poke: that combo is pretty hot.

Couldn't agree more, I would take the original - there are a lot fewer around in good condition. Can always pick up a new (or used) TO in a couple of years.
