Lovely piece Colin - that was Tony's, right?

I was on the verge of grabbing this one, but had 2 other options, and in the end decided on what seemed the best deal, only for the seller to reveal (at the last minute of course) that the Box and Papers didn't match (weren't even for a Hercules). By then, the other options, including this, had gone.

I have to ask what the weight and size is like - I'm a bit gorilla-wristed, and anything Titanium or under 42mm just looks and feel stupid.... :?

Date/No Date not an issue with me, btw.

Cheers

Hi Mike,

This hasnt been off my wrist since it arrived last Tuesday,
Really expected the weight to be too much for me,however it does nt feel no heavier than my steelfish.
Love the dial as it changes with the AR coating and lighting from black, grey to blue.
Size wise on wrist just perfect, i have a 7 1/2 inch wrist.
Sav was too critical on condition, thought i may have to send it to independant to be polished, no need.
Slight scratches on AR coating only in certain light.
Losing a regular 2 secs a day.
The bracelet is a work of art.

CGS

My habit has always been to glance at the date on the watch, but this is actually a timely post for me because I am considering changing that habit. More than once recently I have taken off in a hurry, become involved in my work, and realized that I hadn't worn that watch since the month changed, and it was a less-than 31 day month. I caught myself doing a couple of things based upon a mistaken date. It's really fresh in my mind since we just passed February. Right now, even with two perpetual calendar watches, I have to re-set dates on five others. I am strongly considering whether, with phone tethered to my belt perpetually, it's time to reconsider. That said, the last non-calendar watch, an Omega Dynamic chrono, belongs to my teenaged son.

Habits only seem to change when they need to.

The date function is as important, if not more important than the time. There are wall clock hanging everywhere in my building, but none of them have the date on them.

Congrats on a cool watch. All my watches have the date but where Sharky always looks at his watch for the date I find myself alays pulling out my phone for the date, so I guess not having a date wouldn't bother my. I'm kinda itching for a Speedy so this is a good thing for me. The only thing I don't like about the Herc is the integrated bracelet but I prefer straps over bracelets 99% of the time.

Congrats on the watch.......lovely piece

I always liked the look of the Hercules. Good size as a daily wearer.

Only thing i didnt like was, what you mentioned. No date, and cant change the band.

My fav watch is the midnight carbon GMT, and the normal GMT Bentley. The downfall of these watches was the same thing about the band. You had the choice of the rubber strap, and only the bracelet.

I would probably very very rarely change the strap, but i like having options. i would have liked a midnight carbon GMT on a croc strap.

None the less, the herc is a nice watch. All the best with it.

The option of wearing a strap or rubber on the Herc really doesnt bother me.

IMO i can wear my steelfish, air or seawolf on other combinations if i wish.

At this moment in time i omly have my airwolf on leather the rest on bracelets.

Colin
