Just got word about this new piece which will be released at Basel. 47mm case with a B01 movement, with obvious modifications. I like it, and will own one someday.

A Chronomat that is 47 mm??

And a gmt function?

These additions STILL Don't make me like the B01 chronomat. They need to concentrate on getting rid of that AWFUL bezel first and foremost.

We knew that the GMT was coming, but the size is a surprise. I really think that this case / bezel looks better with the brushed finish. Definitely good to see the variations to in house movements starting.

I think brushed would be better, and the bezel could definitely be improved, but I like the size and GMT function. I can't wait to see it in person.

Wondering if this furthers the speculation the World will cease to exist. What concerns me most is the hint that the Buck Rogers bezel is here to stay and will replace all the traditional bezels. Makes me even more convinced I did the right thing picking up several discontinued models.

I wouldn't be surprised to see this movement in the World, would be surprised if it disappeared completely.

Like The original B01 I'm sure we will see this movement in all sorts of models. Basel 2012 makes sense to unveil the In house World and I heard it's going to be 64mm...quite an increase from the current 46mm. :poke:

Im very surprised they made a 47mm Chronomat, the 43mm was a great size. I wonder if they will produce this model in a brushed finish as well. If not, then that was a huge miss.

I still don't like that the chronos and date function are still in the same place as the original B01 movement, I guess they just added a complication to the current movement instead of creating a new design. Lack of enguinity in my opinion....I'm being driven further and further from the brand every day. Is every Breitling going to have a 3, 6, 9 Chrono layout now?????????

I think its a good step. A legitimate offering as opposed to the gimmicks of late. I like the giant GMT arrow.

Still not a fan of that bezel but I like the face layout and the square. I think the size is a mistake as I think the current or rather discontinued Chronomat was perfect. Glad I grabbed what I have as I think between the price increases and change in design I am probably going to be in the used market if at all in the future. Still love the brand but not a lot of the new models. Hey, then again I am old, what do I know. :D
Best health, Frank

It's not the worst thing in the world, but it's not my cup of tea. I agree that it's a legitimate offering, and not some gimmicky thing. Still, it's not going to win over anyone who doesn't like the bezel style; they've even used that numeral styling for the 24 hour marks on the dial, indicating they really intend to keep it. (Do they really think people like it, or are they just flipping us the bird?) The design also doesn't help increase the brand's offerings to those who don't like/can't wear insanely large watches, which offerings are becoming fewer and further between.

This is the first i've heard of this! Does anyone have a link to a pic?

I have to say though... i disagree with most of you regarding the bezel. I'm not a huge fan of the old rider tab bezel. I have the Chrono Cockpit & would much rather have the new bezel! The rider tabs catch on all my suits :-/

I think I'll wait for the Navi World replacement. This one doesn't do much for me. Plus 47mm seems kinda silly to me. Isn't the big watch fad coming to an end? Did they get the memo?

An increase from 46 to 64? That's no longer a Breitling World but a U Boat monstrocity!
