As we are a diverse group distributed over the whole surface of the globe, I wondered what the view is from where ever you are in the world today.

This is my view, Indian Ocean from an LNG Gas Tanker.

Great stuff Ian, something exciting and adventurous about that shot.

I've posted these before, but this is the view from one of my balconies:

I am so sick of the cold and snow...that is why I moved from Michigan. Only a few more weeks I hope. at least the beer stays cold. Sorry it is the view of my deck facing south not the window.

NICE taste in beer my man. Throw in a little Three Philosophers and I'm set with that foursome.

Otto, in the UK with our elf and safety regulations you would be fined for allowing your watches to be in such a dangerous position, so to save a nasty court case I recommend you forward them to me immediately, I promise to look after them for you and provide them with a good home, nice bridge by the way.

Roff now we know why you need a dog team, are you looking at Easter before you see the grass again?

Ian

Probably.

Golf courses consider it to be a very good year if they can open by Easter - it's a little more common around Toronto (2 hours south of us), but pretty rare up here. We usually have to start cutting the grass sometime around the first weekend in May and generally plant vegetables from pots at the end of May.

It's supposed to be warming up a little next week, but still forecasting snow virtually every day.

I think the view out of my kitchen would be the exact opposite of any of Roff's views. Ahh, city living!

Image

But city living doesn't mean we don't have random swans stopping in to stroll the streets.

No, he wouldn't be that close to the house if he were. There is a pack that lives on our property but they don't come close to the dogs, but he's only about 100 feet from the dog kennels there so probably getting desperate.

Looking out our Northeast window. The building in the middle-background is the Trump building. Kinda a "love it or hate it" structure.

Looking down from the balcony onto Wells and the El. The snow is finally melting!

A great thread! Roff, pics this summer would look great, way too cold looking now. And the coyote, that close, wow. The pics of the watches on the ledge..I just KNOW I'd knock them over the ledge when I went to retrieve them. Chicago, jeez, hanging over that balcony makes my stomach queasy. The view along the bow of the oil tanker, awesome.
Each of your photos elicits a response. Great thread!
