That is a beautiful watch. i think it has a more than passing similarity to the new TransOcean (the pushers and lugs). A great retro watch, i think.

This Zenith destroys the TransOcean...not even in the same universe!! I love the shape of the came and the lugs. This is one of the nicest Zenith's I have seen.

Looks real good. Nice movement, definitely. Seems to wear pretty slim on the wrist too, so quite a good dress chrono option.

Superb sharkman. Congrats. It's really a beauty - maybe the best looking Zenith I've seen.

Wow, this watch is really striking a chord with people. Agree with the numerous posts above - generally not a huge fan of Zeniths, but this one is a beauty. Enough of a beauty to really confuse me now about getting a TransOcean. :huh Retail wise, about the same price point, although I don't think I'd be able to get the same discount on the Z from my AD.

Just thought I'd add my glowing and gushing comments to the general feeling of love for this watch! Yep, it is indeed a lovely thing, and with that thin bezel and hence larger dial/crystal area, I can certainly see how it wears larger than 42mm. Very very nice indeed.

One of the many things these pics do not reflect are the high polish and faceted 5 minute markers. These just glisten almost like diamonds with movement of the watch. It's one of the features I so liked about the tourbillion. Then I saw I could get this one with the same dial, etc... Didn't have the spare $50K handy anyway. (my Cali Cartel contacts are getting soooo unreliable! )

good to see zenith going back to basic, no frill no thrill but eye-popping nonetheless.

Fantastic watch! Congrats!

Also, I agree on the jerky striking tenth!

It's a beautiful watch. I tried on a similar one with a silver dial and gold hands and indices which I liked a lot. Very classy.

Sharkman, any change of opinion over the last week?

I can't stop thinking about this watch! I'm debating taking the 3 hour drive down to Stamford, Connecticut (the closest AD) to see this one in the metal. Then of course calling Govberg....
