We are starting to see some announcements from the SIHH brands - the show opens in just over a week.

Not for me because I don't want any more DLC, but Montblanc has announced a flyback chrono in it's TimeWalker series:

and Piaget has announced the Emperador Coussin Tourbillon Automatic Ultra Thin:

There have been a few others, but these are the standouts for me so far - at least as far as SIHH related announcements. AP announced a rather nice Minute Repeater in November:

Very interesting dial design, I kinda like it! Would like SS case though.

Didn't post the 1858 because it wasn't really a standout for me for the money.

I am a big fan of the Quai de l'Ile range, but this one is butt ugly to me - just too much dead space in the middle.

Looks like IWC is featuring the Portofino range.

8 Days Manual wind:

(Picture from Perpetuelle)

No details on size but the movement is the 59210 which is almost 38mm so expect it to be about 42mm.

There is also a new Portofino Dual Time, but no pictures yet.

That Portofino looks very nice Roff. Does it have an in-house movement?

It's an in-house movement.

Yes sir. It's identified as a new caliber, but I'm sure that it shares a lot of elements with existing 8 day calibers.

I don't really consider a watch announced two months ago as an SIHH announcement. People will get hands on at the official launch at SIHH, but it's hardly new news.

As anyone who subscribes to the Jaeger newsletter will have found out today, JLC has reissued it's Deep Sea Alarm in a couple of variants, again all images from Perpetuelle:

Now THAT is superb! I don't subscribe to the newsletter : any idea of the size? I'm guessing about 42mm, but if it was 44mm it'd be incredible IMO.

Unfortunately yes I do know the size. I agree with you that it is magnificent, and an LE of 959 (the other one is 359 for the US only). I was all set to call and reserve one pending confirmation of price (supposedly $12,300), but........

It's 40.5mm :(
