My AD has just sent me details of a new limited edition Skyracer Raven but instead of the black bezel is adorned with either a red or orange bezel.

And before anyone asks, I have not been on photoshop, these two limited edition watches are arriving around April/May of this year.

Thoughts anyone?

Dare I say that I kinda like the looks of the red one. I wouldn't ever buy it because of the rubber aspect. If they offered a red saphire bezel... well I would be seriously concidering it. But I am a serious sucker for red, anything. :)

Hmmm.... maybe could of tried it with a more subtle color like blue first. Don't mind the colored sub-dial hands, but those bezels are bright!

Breitling's crashing. It's crashing terrible. Oh, my get out of
the way, please. It's bursting into flames. And it's falling
on the faithful masses. All the folks agree this is terrible,
one of the worst catastrophies on the world. Oh, the flames,
four or five hundred feet in the sky, it's a teriffic crash
ladies and gentlemen. The smoke and the flames now and the
brand is crashing to the ground, not quite to the faithful masses yet.
Oh, the humanity...

Oh god. Just when I thought things were REALLY looking up with the superb new in-house pieces, along comes a pair of monstrosities like this! Not only are they content with ruining a very nice watch (the original all steel Skyracer) by sticking half a car tyre on the bezel, they then go and compound it by colouring it for in playschool colours. Just awful.

Here's a thought. With Breitling drunk with love for all things Blacksteel, why didn't someone suggest a SS head with a Blacksteel bezel? I think this would have made for a better choice for the first Raven. Expecially if they would have treated the bezel and THEN engraved the index marks so the SS would have shown through. BRILLIANT! :)

Oh my! As hard as it is to say, these look like they're entering the fashion watch world. It's amazing how a little color can make something great or the total opposite.

I did verify with George who called their Breitling rep and it was confirmed that they are making these.
