Hi everyone, I'm a Noob to Breitling and am loving every minute of it. I've just recently purchased a limited edition 125th Breitling Navitimer w/Air Racer Bracelet with a Black Dial. I was wondering with alot of experienced and educated individuals with Breitling, what your thoughts were? I am a current owner of Crazy Hours from Franck Muller & Tag Heuer Limited Edition Blue Dial Kirium '96.

Thanks,

Phan of Breitling

I absolutely love the head of the navitimer, but the bracelet scares me. I would much rather have the original Navitimer bracelet. Great looking piece!!!!

I wonder how the ocean racer strap would look on this? The ocean racer strap I had on my SOH46 was very super comfy to wear ,and showed no wear except for the deployment.

Thats one of my favourites, the head anyway! I'm not a fan of the bracelet at all. For some reason I felt the head looks a lot smaller in real life as it does in any pics I've seen!

Cheers

Nice pick up on the 125th Anniversary! I'm not a big fan of that bracelet to be honest, but I'm happy you are enjoying your new piece. Wear it in good health.

Thanks Gents,

I really did think that having the bracelet would take away a level of comfort, but it seems it takes a while of adjusting to it. I do really love it, although only having it for a couple of weeks, Im still in the newb stage of critiquing this piece. The regular bracelet that usually comes with the Navitimer set me off a bit, as it was the usual bracelet used on others as well, it just didn't fit the 125th anniversary special edition. The bracelet, although nicely built and takes time getting used to, makes the image a bit unique from the others. My original catch was the 125th Navitimer with Bronze dial, that was on my agenda, but searching for awhile and contacting Breitling in CT and Switzerland, they weren't able to locate one near my location, and these online dealers pretty much scares me. I sincerely appreciate all the feed backs and truly will start to become a New Breitling Fan, loving every second of it. I really love this piece and am already looking into investing in the Montbrilliant.

Thanks Montexn, I will do that. Trying to jog every other day to keep up with the watch, lol...

I'm with the general consensus here. I really like the head, probably the most of any Navitimer. It is considerably more simple and elegant than other Navis. But that bracelet...if you like it, that's what counts, but since you asked us our thoughts, well - it's not to my taste. I know the standard Navi bracelet is a bet less individual, but I still prefer it. That, or a black croco with deployment. But whichever way you go, you've got a fine watch. Enjoy it, and wear it, as they say, in good health.

i went to my local AD in melbourne, and tried on the 125 and i have a fairly small wrist, i think there was around a 5mm gap all the way around, so even if some of the links were removed i'd still have trouble with the fit, i don't mind it otherwise.

My two cents: I think the watch is wonderfully done. I have the Panamerican Bronze version of the watch and think the paring of the watch and band is perfect (that probably contributed a bit to the purchase decision).

I was skeptical at first of the rigid metal bracelet, having worn only rubber or leather bands in the past, but the band is comfortable, breathes well, and holds the weight of the watch centered on my wrist perfectly. I think what really cements the band and the watch together, at least with the bronze version, is the brushed metal finish on the top of the band that flows to the top of the posts and the sides of the watch body directly opposite the band; this brushed look is mirrored in the bronze finish. It all ties together very well and is a nice contrast to the regular stainless steel on the sides of the watch and band.

Again, my two cents, but I'm admittedly biased.

On another note: is there any way to determine how many of the total 2009 produced had the black face vs the bronze face?

Real cool watch. Love the balanced dial. Don't think I'd have that bracelet, personally, but hey, it'd be a nice piece if it was tied on with a bit of string!

:D
