Why are you sending them to the sand box instead of somewhere safe, like a vault in Montana!

Love it dude. The explorer is one of my favorite Rolexes, right behind the GMTIIc. Enjoy it and I hope the KBR guys don't steal your mail :poke:

To me, that is one of the most elegant divers around.
I've always liked the UN's; that one and the Surf.

Congrats on the early xmas treat and enjoy it! :D

I know what you mean Justin, but I can't enjoy them back home, since I'm only home 2 times a year it isn't right to turn them into safe queens. At least this way I get to enjoy them and give them the wrist time.

Sorry dude. I'm sure you'll be fine, they're a stellar bunch

I'm at VBC now but I gotta go to another FOB tomorrow. Ahh the joys of being a contractor. At least I don't have to run around with a gun waiting for some dip-shit to try to shoot me, my job's easy compared to that.

Woohoo!! they finally showed up today and I'm a happy camper.

First up is the UN LE Maxi Marine Diver and she's a beauty IMO, measuring in at a nice 43mm. The comfortable rubber strap is enhanced with titanium inserts on each side that are engraved with the UN Logo & Signature. The titanium butterfly clasp is easy to operate, closes securely, and is released by pressing a pair of push buttons located on each side of the clasp. The case edge has the engraved LE number plate which also adds a touch of class. The unidirectional bezel turns nicely with solid clicks denoting each minute and the screw in crown is easy to manipulate through it's various stages for setting the watch. All of the hands are blued steel and really are striking when they catch the light. The large heavily lumed hands and hour indicators are very easy to read and WOW! do they light up nicely in the dark. Another nice added touch of the hour indicators is that they are all outlined in the same matching blued steel as the hands. The silver "Golf Ball" dial is really elegant and the date window at the 6 is easy to read with an inverted cyclops. At the 12 is the power indicator that balances out the large guilloche-decorated seconds sub dial located at the 6. The case back is engraved with the location and date referencing the gold medal awards Ulysse Nardin has won over the years. Finally, she's got a WR rating of 300 meters, a power reserve of ~42 hours, and is powered under the hood by the 28 jewel COSC Caliber UN-26 (modified ETA 2892 base caliber) beating at 28,800/h.

Ms. Maxi Marine was accompanied on her way over here to the sandbox of the world by a Rolex Explorer II. This 40mm all SS case is primarily outfitted with a brushed finish with the case edges being the only portions polished. The brushed SS fixed bezel is engraved in 24 hour graduations for use in conjunction with the supplementary 24 hour hand. Although similar in style to most dive watches, the Explorer II has a WR rating of only 100 meters/330 feet. The sapphire crystal has the customary cyclops over the date window which is located at the 3. The simple yet functional white dial is easy to read at a glance and being white it gives the impression of wearing larger than a 40mm piece IMO. The engine that provides the steam for this Explorer II is Rolex's 31 jewel Caliber 3185, which has a power reserve of ~50 hours. Complimenting the brushed SS case is the brushed SS Oyster bracelet which I find quite comfortable to wear.

I also got word today that my JLC Master Compressor Memovox Alarm is winging it's way over here...woohoo! I can't wait....all in all it was a great watch day I would have to say. :cheer:

Congrats and good luck with those two beautiful pieces.

I particularly like the UN. Really well put together aesthetically.

Very nice additions, I really like that UN. I still think that's the best color dial they offer in that watch and it looks best on the rubber strap. Any plans on adding the bracelet for that one?

I agree Iantheklutz, I think at the price points on the UN it is one of the most elegant divers out there.

I haven't looked into that yet, but when I was at the AD in Dubai awhile back I was impressed with their bracelets and I think it would dress this piece up bigtime! I'm sure they get a pretty penny for their bracelets..guess I need to do some research to see what they get for them...almost afraid to ask..LOL.
