The Breitling Emergency (ti) comes with the titanium band 863e, will the 888e fit in place of the original band? Thanks in advance!

Pretty sure that it won't fit - although they are both straight the 888s are much thicker than the 863s I don't think that you'll get the springbar to seat. Definitely try before you commit.

If I had the 863 and 888, I could take the last link (the spring bar link) of the 863 and use that on the 888, right? This solely due to the condition and clasp being in better condition on the 888.

As long as the end links are removable, yes
