That photo looks decidedly dodgy to me, some very poor photoshop'ing, it would be nice if the entire story were false, but I feel it isn't.

I'm even more glad now I decided to drop out of the Blacksteel models!

I guarantee that it's real - unfortunately.

Yes, unfortunately it's real and no photoshopped image.
The Navitimer Ltd Edition B01 movement sapphire case back model will make up for it though

Yeah that's really pretty ugly. What demographic are they trying to corner with that do you think?

God only knows. It really does give new meaning to the term "poor taste". I think it is hideous, and I am absolutely horrified at all the nonsense and hype with these monthly recurring so-called "Limited Editions". I thought that Omega was taking all the wrong directions as of late, so I have sold all of mine. Now I am beginning to worry about Breitling. Not every watch manufacturer can be everything to everyone, and the only thing I can think of is that may be what they are trying to do.
I had better stop trying to analyse the possible logic behind this one, or I will drive myself crazy. I am really quite amazed at myself, how annoying I am finding this!

Cheers,
Carl

I totally agree Carl. There have been far too many "Limited Editions" recently that really are nothing more than a small change to an already existing model. Perhaps the economic downturn has left them with no choice but to exhaust all "easy" alternatives to maintaining a consistent revenue stream. Or maybe this approach really is what their marketing information is telling them. One shudders at the thought. Whatever the rationale, this example is particularly ordinary.

Being a Chrono-Matic owner, I can't see the point of such a model at all. PVD about Aeromarine models may work, but destroying a timeless elegant model like the Chrono-Matic with that ugly stealth black "paint" is not something I'd approve.

I'm only glad I read about this the same day I read about the absolutely stunning new Navitimer B01 LE.
