If it were black/red maybe, thats always a sharp sporty combo. Silver/red doesn't do it for me. I could be wrong, in person it could be gorgeous, but Thumbs down for me at the moment.

Seriously - there is nothing special about this watch.

I feel like as time goes by, I am falling farther and farther from this brand.

Completely agree with your statement.

This is a joke. Like Code Yellow. The difference is that code yellow isn't ugly like this blackbird.

I can't remotely claim to like it - the photo looks hideous, but I would like to see one in the metal. I can't believe that it can look that bad and still make it to production so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and assume bad photos.

They pretty much did that with the BB Blacksteel. Didn't like that one either.

+1 That's why I migrated over to Rolex. Consistently the same watch dynamics year after year and no Mickey Mouse editions.

I actually like this one, wasn't keen on the blacksteel version, especially as I have a horrible feeling they've DLC'd polished surfaces

Maybe its not special enough to call a limited edition, but that really is just a numbers thing anyway.

Anyhow, can't be @rsed to get caught up in all the politics, I just like it :lingsrock:

I actually think this one will look pretty cool. I'm glad it comes in both a polished and satin finish! The pics are good, but most Breitlings look so much better in person than publicity photos.

To me, it's the red date that throws the whole thing off...

It makes the whole watch look cheap.

I'm surprised, the first thread on this Red Strike edition posed mostly negative comments.

I do agree that this seems like a joke. If you're going to make an LE, make it unique in some good looking way other than changing the colors here and there. Then again, I've seen certain Nike shoes in special edition colors that sold for ridiculous amounts.

I kinda like it. When do they actually start showing up at ADs?

Too many LE models coming out lately! How many variations of the Blacksteel are we going to see? And now minor cosmetic modifications to the dials, and suddenly it's a Limited Edition!
Admittedly, I will wait yet again to see the model in the flesh before I form an opinion of the aesthetics.
I really liked the Skyland Blacksteel when it first came out. Then the Super Avenger. Then the Blackbird. Liked the Skyland so much, I actually got one. Still my favourite of the LE's, though I sold it long ago.
With all of these Limited Edition models, they don't seem so special anymore. It kind of ruins the whole meaning of "Limited Edition" IMO.
Cheers,
Carl
