Maybe you are both right - but all I can base it upon is local chocolate, having never received my German chocolate bar from Steinhart. So my sample is skewed.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but here you said that you prefer real thing than fakes. Cause milk chocolate are made with cacao butter and milk and not with cacao beans. So that's why most people don't consider "chocolate" the milk chocolate.

You're thinking of white chocolate which doesn't actually contain cocoa solids. However, Milk chocolate does contain cocoa.
