So Code Yellow then, or gonna give it some time?

I'm not entirely sold on the Code Yellow now, the chrome numbers are very difficult to read in Even the slightest light. I think that it will end up annoying the crap out of me. Also considering a yellow dial seawolf instead but I don't hid I'd ever wear it except for the weekend.

That sucks man, that IWC is amazing. I didn't notice an issue with the numerals when I looked at it, but that also sucks that you don't like that anymore. I guess you'll just have to live with your new 312 and GMTII. :poke:

Yeah it does suck and it does explain the price. I could see a what looked like more than a "nick" on one of the pics.

Now Sergio's little IWC jag got me looking again at the Aquatimer 3767-01- black with yellow, sapphire capped bezel. And I fell head over heels in lust with the darn thing. And it's in the colors of my Alma Mater.

On deck - Breguet Type XXI, IWC Aquatimer Chrono 3767-01. THEN I'm done!

Safe my ass! When I came here I had just bought 3 Breitlings, I think. Nothing else. Now look!!

A year ago I didn't have a single fine watch. Now I have 20 spaces on my winders and need another winder. Drawing from another thread, does that make me any different than I was last September? Not because of my collection. But I do believe in continued growth and thus believe I am different for other reasons.

One reason is simply in the last 9 months I have a new hobby about which I am passionate. And that is very cool. OK so the checking account has taken a big hit. Thank goodness I refuse to use credit. Interest pisses me off.

Tuesday or Wednesday looks good for the Type XXI. Friday or so for the Aquatimer Chrono. One week too late to see my Hawkeyes kick the crap out of Arizona in Tucson. Oh well I'm moving right now anyway so can't make the game. (I have taken down all the electronics in my place which means no TV or stereo. Thank God for the foresight to get this Verizon 3G card. ) BTW, I'm too old and too out of shape for this moving gig. (that's sweat - not drool). And I'm wearing a Luminox!

I'm not feeling sorry for you on the move, but it sucks that you don't have TV. I think I would go insane.

You MUST post pictures with a review of the Type XXI when you get it (and I still think you need the band for it...hope you aren't just getting the bracelet).

I agree with John, you need the strap Shark....I think the strap completes that watch perfectly!

Bracelet for now. I have to special order a short strap.

Only the kitchen sh!t left to pack. It took three loads in my SUV to drop off old or ill fitting clothes at Goodwill. 15 large garbage bags. I was well on my way to a special episode of "Hoarders."

I would have never thought of you as a hoarder....someone who buys 30+ high end watches in 12 months is perfectly normal. :poke:

This thread hasn't exactly helped me out either, it's got me looking at IWCs again. Now I can't stop thinking about a Portuguese 7-day auto.

Aren't IWCs beautiful?? They look even better in the flesh whereas most watches look better in photos. I have to add an IWC...I wish the yacht club wasnt so expensive because that's my favorite by far.

They sure are. Can't stop looking at them when they're on the wrist, too.

You were on the right track with the aftermarket strap idea, by the way. I always thought the OEM strap let down the 3717 a bit, it needs something just a bit thicker IMO.

I know you're bummed Sergio, but you are that much closer to the Breguet!

Me? I'm moved and the only boxes unpacked are the electronics - TV/surround/stereo/internet all up and pumping. Throw the bedding on the bed, order a pizza and I'm good til tomorrow. I think this is how the pioneers did it. :)
