I have been wearing a Rolex SS Yacht-Master since I picked it up for resale on Saturday. I sold it this morning and got my SA out to wind it and set the time.

I pull out the crown and set the time and then start winding it.

The F'ing crown came off in my hand!!!!

This is my everyday favorite watch!!

Has this ever happened to anyone?

Should I send it directly to BUSA or contact my AD???

I don't even know how to describe the sinking feeling in my chest when this happened...

Unless your AD is a service centre they are going to have to send the watch to BUSA anyway so you may as well cut out the middleman.

It should be a fairly easy fix, but you need to get it tested properly by BUSA for water resistance, ensuring that no dirt has got in, etc.

Do you think I blamed myself?? NO! LOL. It was in need of a service anyways as the watch was about 5 years old. Your right though its was one of those situations.

I get my SA back from service tomorrow!!!

There is an authorized repair center 15 mins away from my house!

Freshly repaired, serviced, polished, and with a 12 month warranty.

Can't wait!
