Watchmakeress would know better than I, but I think you'd have to be pretty sedentary to have any sort of problem.

But it also depends upon whether it has an automatic movement?

Guys, it's not so hard to be inactive....

* Last week I was sick as a dog for several days... my watch stopped on me! Because I was lying in bed or the couch most of the day....

* People that work on the computer 5 days a week 8 hours a day, and they hardly get of their chair, will have their watch stop on them if they are not super active after work, because the watch doesn't get enough movement to stay wound....

* If you're 75 years old (not intended to hurt anybody's feelings), and your "activities" are playing cards, or bingo, and watching soap opera's and once a week you play a round of golf, trust me, your watch will stop....

I spend most of my waking hours sat at a computer. I've started getting up every hour to have a walk around to ease my back and re-focus my eyes. I kinda walk around others desks to see how they are getting on.
I've also started giving my watches a gentle winding boost when I'm up and about at the same time. Colleagues are beginning to wonder why I go up to their desks and make up and down wrist movements when I'm stood behind them.
Should I tell them the truth, or let them stew in their own paranoia ?
