I really like this model, especially in yellow.

Thanks for linking the video.

Interesting. This is the first mention of a special material of construction. He says the watch is made with an alloy of steel that is "speciallly resistant to salt water". Is he just referring to 316SS?

I'm pretty sure it's just 316L. If they were using something different (like 904L) there would've been a HUGE song and dance made about it, not just a couple of words in the middle of the description. Me-thinks the 'specially resistant to salt water' line is a bit of marketing spin, like Rolex and their 'Superlative Chronometer' line.

:yeahthat

I saw one in person at a local AD a couple of weeks ago, and that was exactly my impression. Not well-made and sturdy like the first Superocean. It kind of looked cheap and "plastic" to me.
Really not a big fan of the way Breitling is going. Revamping seemingly most of their model lines - cosmetically only - but still charging a grand or more for the updates, which do not even include inhouse movements. Now, I am not saying that the Breiling modified movements are not good, indeed they are and I have had many. Only saying that I don't think these comsetic changes - which, in many cases take away from the unique Breitling look - do not justify such exhorbitant premiums on the pricing IMO.
Cheers,
Carl

The watch looks much better on the ocean racer strap or pro bracelet.
