Was sitting at a Spring Baseball game two days ago in Surprise Stadium and there sitting one row in front of me and 5 seats away was a Breitling HAT. Well I was also wearing mine......so we had to say Hi to each other and take a gander at each other watches we were wearing - his was a beautiful Breitling Montbrillant Olympus......I had never seen one before in the 'flesh'.

He also like the blue SA I was wearing. His comment was a great one - these are the nicest HATS although they are bit expensive......but you get a nice watch with it.

Well today I saw him again - and was wearing my White CA.... now the Ling Club has started at the ball park - now I am on the lookout everywhere!!!!

Any of you have experience finding other Ling owners by seeing the hats first? Just curious

Only while in the AD. It seems some guys have to wear them there to try and "show off" for the AD.

I've seen a few at air shows and the like. Not been to any for years though.

Unless you make it your business to know about Breitlings you'd just mistake the hat as any other piece of memorabilia.

Back in 2003 I went on the Ten Tors hike in south west England. One of our rival teams were sponsored by Breitling and them and their supporters all had Breitling hats, windbreaker type jackets and flags. I was jealous we didn't that sponsorship as we were a sister squadron of theirs. As a fairly new owner of my first Breitling at the time I was pissed off I didn't get my cap! That's buying Britain for you

Hi Vanessa.....thank-you - I forgot I was wearing my Hat when I saw ya......appreciate the heads up.....see in the next few days.

I like to wear mine when I'm not wearing a Breitling. It kind of throws people off when they ask to see my watch and I show them an Omega or Rolex. But after I tell them about my two Lings, and usually I B/S with them for a few minutes about certain models and different variations. I get a kick out of their inital reaction. Sorry in advance if I throw anyone off who sees me in one.

When I had my Rolex I used to like wearing that to Breitling events at my AD! Everyone wanders around with their Breitlings on, and there was me being a bit different. (I guess it's a case of little things pleasing my little mind!)

I keep one in the back seat of my airplane for passengers, as well as another hat in my car for when I forget a hat that day if I needed one. My wife put her hat in her closet with her other hats. . . . she never wears them.

I keep trying to get her to hand it over, but she won't share!

I wear the hat in my plane on occasion, as it's nice to watch people look up at the hat, read the Breitling logo, and then look instantly at my wrist.

Well, I have yet to see anyone wearing a Breitling cap. Do they come from the AD? Or do you have to order one from Breitling? I'm not one to wear baseball caps much, but if it was done well I could probably make an exception for Breitling! I really wish they would make a real nice men's ring.

You know you bring up a good question. I don't know whether the hat promotion is just a North American thing or U.S. thing by Breitling.

When I purchased my first Breilting (White CA) last month in St. Thomas (US Virgin Islands) the AD brought out the hat along with the box when I took the watch.

My second purchase a couple week ago, (Blue SA) the dealer in AZ (Ganems) said that Breitling would be sending the hat in a few weeks. Thus I conclude that it is at least a U.S. promotion but perhaps it is also everywhere. Anyone can help on that.

I have also been told that the hats have varied a bit over of the years.
