G'Day Crew,

I am considering trading/selling, one/both of my Omega's for something in the Breitling stable.

My NOS B-1SQ is on it's way as my work wearer/tool watch.

I also have an Omega Seamaster Pro Quartz which is 98% as a weekender.

And an Omega Speedmaster Date Automatic which is 99% as a dress watch.

As I have had Omega's before, and they are small on my wrist, was thinking of getting say a Seawolf Yellow or Steelfish Silver as a weekender/dress watch and alternating between just the two pieces.

I am reluctant to sell on eBay or forums due to the inherent risk of fraud.................... which makes things very difficult

What do you guys reckon?

Having sold a few watches on eBay and traded a few watches on here i've been lucky to have positive experiences so far. Just be careful, some people may ask you to accept a payment through an escrow account.. DONT.. They could also ask you to ship to a non-confirmed paypal address... DONT do that either. I only accept paypal payments and ship to confirmed paypal address. Also, ship fully insured with a delivery/signature confirmation. If you follow this you should be safe. I also like to check the buyers feedback on eBay, if they have a good track record of successful sales and purchases then I feel more comfortable selling to them.

mfserge,

Thank you for the information! How do I check whether their address is confirmed? The fully insured/signature I use already!

Will put more thought into it this weekend!

Regards,

Rob

I would be up front with the buyer about shipping only to a confirmed address....the only way you will know if it's a confirmed address is once they send you the paypal payment, you will receive an email with their shipping info and right next to that it will say either confirmed or unconfirmed. I had some instances in the past where I killed the deal because I won't ship to an unconfirmed address.
