Here's my new Breitling Blackbird (yes I know I've had one before :) )
Ordered on a borwn croc on deployant, arrived with brown calf on deployant  AD told me to keep the calf FOC anyway and he'd order me the croc in as well. Still waiting for the croc.
I also have a black croc on OEM pin buckle but not had time to swap over and take pics yet but will do soon.

I love the watch and think it looks great on the brown strap and will look even better on the dark brown Breitling croc!
I do sometimes wonder if it's too big for me? and then sometimes I don't, what do you lot think?

Oh and you may notice the small surface tears on the inside wrist side of the strap? I thought I'd try to "break in" the strap and over did it a little   it's not effected the strength etc of the strap and if anything gives it a more "distressed" look....yeah that's right I meant to do it didn't I

Anyway here's a few quick shots on the brown calf strap....

Very nice. I like watches with a black dial on a brown strap. As far as it being too big, I don't think so, but I like big watches.

Yep from experience the brown calf or croco look amazing and the pics here prove it.

Gently break in the strap. Gently..... Especially the thick part. (I know because I did the same thing to my first Breitling calf - a light brown(gold) ). Same spot too. All you want to accomplish is a slight curve to the strap.

Nice watch. Is this why you've been looking for a brushed tang buckle??

Yep :D

According to an AD yesterday (who, it turns out can't adjust the deployant after all  ) the pin buckle is available from Breitling in the brushed finish!

Great looking watch! I am biased though. I also have the Brushed BB and think it looks the most "polished" on the brown croc. The croc strap is different from the calf. I recommend letting it "break in" by itself.

Different note, can you post a pic of the caseback? Just curious if it like Sharkman's or if it just says "Blackbird" in either raised or flat letters.

Love it!! I'd have the calf on daily and the croc on reserve for "dressy" occasions. It's a beautiful watch.

I don't have any pics of the case back but it's the flat/polished back not the more satin back with proud/sticky out "Blackbird" lettering.

SFAIK all the new BB's should be the polished/smoother back but I'm not sure when exactly that came in? Sometime 2009 I think.
