So I just had my first service done on my Super Ocean Crono after about 2.5 years of daily use. It took them 3 months to complete the "full restore" service. They claimed that parts were back ordered. It would have been nice if they would have pre-order the parts. Grrr. but whatever, I have it back now and well...
Something doesn't seem right. First the thing has been loosing time. It would die over night (after about 8 hours) or after maybe 12 hour (like if I didn't put it back on until the next afternoon) The first few times I figured I hadn't wound it enough. So I wound it more. Which is what the service guy said too. But now I've wound it a several times since then and it died over night again. I never had to wind it before unless it sat in the drawer for a couple of days.
Also of note, it seems to me that the sound the it auto winder makes after spinning my wrist is well.... poor and short lived. When it was new it sounded much better. Hard to explain but that's how it seems to me at least.
Secondly the bezel rotates with uneven resistance. Starts easy until the 10 o'clock position, then it's tight until around the 6 o'clock after that it's looser again. Also i noticed that I can turn the bezel clockwise one click in many places.
I'm going to call the jeweler again, but it seems odd to me that I would have issues after a $640 service.
