Don't Know what it is about this watch... I saw it in the case with about 30 other Breitlings and it just really sticks out ....looks sooo beautiful.
But I have to be honest if I didn't know it was a Breitling worth several thousand it could pass for a cheap novelty watch.
Is it just me or does this watch seem to have an EXTREME DUAL PERSONALITY COMPLEX . :?

:uhmmm: Could have passed for a cheap novelty watch?

I'll admit the SOH isn't my favorite Breitling, but I wouldn't go that far....

Just got the silver dial version - Beautiful. A few of you here recommended Andrew Michaels and I confirm it was a fantastic experience - Great conversation, great price, Brietling freebies and even a lift back to the train station in his Porsche! Highly recommended! I was so excited I forgot my old watch and left it behind - they next day delivered it back to my house. :lingsrock:

I'm saving it now for my wedding day in a few months. One question though, in the manual it says it has three settings to wind, set the date and set the time. I cannot seem to be able to set the date (within the allotted safe time to do so) - any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

You aren't doing anything wrong. The manual refers to a regular SOHC, the SOHC LE movement (calibre 23) doesn't have a quick set date.

You can wind time forwards and backwards around midnight - you generally have to go forward to about 2am and then back to 7 / 8 pm and then when you wind forward again the date will change.

When I picked mine up my AD showed me that. My reaction was as if he just showed me cold fusion. I am such a geek.

HI. I'm a newbie, just picked up the silver dial version of the LE Superocean Heritage Chronograph. I love it, but compared to my B01 Chronograph, there are two things it can't do. 1) as explained earlier, it doesn't have the quick set for the calendar, but who cares. But secondly, I can't get it to wind on my winder. I put it side by side with the B01, but it stops. What am I doing wrong? Rudi :?

You may want to check that the winder is going in the right direction. The B01 and the SOHC have different directional requirements. The SOHC should be set to wind in a clockwise direction, where as the B01 winds in both directions. If you have the winder holding the SOHC set to wind in both directions then eventually it would run dead. Also, might want to check the # of rotations you have your winder set to and make sure it is sufficient for the SOHC.

Caliber 23 needs 800 TPD.

Thanks guys. I had set it to both clockwise and counterclockwise, alternating. I appreciate your expertise. :D

Pics of the three dials...

I bought my first two breitlings this year so I'm probably on the shelf for the next year or so, but man those are great looking watches.

While thinking about the next purchase I found this thread. Browsing around the Breitling website, I found this model in the Aeromarine lineup. First of all, are the two watches the same? I am reading Caliber 23 in this topic. The Breitling website says Caliber 13. Also, if it's LE why does it appear in their regular lineup (a year and a half later) and not in the LE section? Lastly, is it possible to still find it given that it was released a year and a half ago and it's a LE? I am really confused about this watch.
