Getting kinda bored with my Slate dial with Black subdials and was wondering if it would be bad if did this? Would that affect my ability to get it serviced in the future (this watch is long out of its warranty)?

Close to pulling a trigger on a new dial. Only thing holding me back is whether or not I'm going to have trouble when I send it in for service at BUSA. Any comments?

You will have trouble if somebody else will make that change instead of BUSA.

That's not good news. I heard BUSA would keep the old dial and they will probably charge more and have a longer turnaround.

They'll keep the old dial and insist on full service.

Even worse news. I don't need a full service yet. I just want a different look lol

Better solution would be to sell the watch and buy the other with dial color you want.

That would be my last resort. How about if I keep the old dial and swap it back in whenever I need to get it to service?

They'll notice it by hands.

Non-Breitling hands. Hands are designed for single use only so if you swap the dials the hands are discarded and non-OEM hands are used for replacements.

Seriously? Didn't know that.

Well, you will indeed have to exchange the slate dial when BUSA or any authorized service center swaps it out for you. At a minimum, a basic service is required along with the purchase of new dial and hands. I suppose you could consider a redial like getting a new watch at much less cost but an analogy might be having your two year old car repainted a different color. Is it really worth the effort and expense just to relieve boredom? Yes, in my opinion, uless the dial has been damaged somehow, I do think it is not wise (I didn't say dumb) to go through the process. Sell it and get something else that you really like, even if the attraction is short lived. BTW, the slate/black Evo dial is, IMHO, one of the very nicest and most attractive dials available for the Evo. Absolutely one of my two favorites, the other being the all black w/Roman's dial on the SS case. I might have opted for the Roman's had it been available when I bought mine, but probably not. This one will do just fine for me.... :? :)
Best,
Ron
