New to the breitling family. I just picked up a gently loved SOSF from my local AD and have been checking to see if it's authentic. From all the searching I've done it's as it should be, but the one thing that I wonder about is the B on the crown. It takes exactly 2 rotations to unscrew and the B is lined up top to bottom, but if you're looking at it, with the face up then the B is rotated 180deg from a real B. Is this normal?

Welcome to the site. Looking at my Steelfish which I know to be authentic the "B" isn't aligned straight up and down either. I think that's pretty common. If you bought it from and AD I don't hink you have much to worry about. If you are still concerned post some good pics in the replica section and we'll take a look at it for you.

Thanks for the help! I'd hate to think that an AD would sell a replica as a real one.

I'll take some pics and post them when I get home. :lingsrock:

Nothing to worry about - every hallmarked crown I have doesn't end up perfect when the crown is screwed in. It's the norm and all three of my SOSF bought new from AD are the same.
