OK people I got the initial info. Here is a quick rundown of the specs

44MM Pilot Chrono case / SS
Black metalic dial / Matt
Black sub-dials / Shinny
Black Hands / Matt
Arabic numerals
Diamond crown and standard pushers
Day-Date feature
Solid caseback/ X-1 Theme
Strap (of our choosing) with stainless deployant and bracelet
Double AR on domed crystal
LE of 20 / Numbers on the back
Grade A burl wood box and strap tool

Regular price of the Chrono II on steel is 810 Euro (not including any of our extras), I got the price down to 750 Euro and I do not think it getting to be any lower than that unless we forgo the x-1 theme and go for a plain caseback (might be able to shave another 30-40 euro) also the box and strap/bracelet can go to save a few Euros. Discuss!

Oh yeah here is the pic, looks great I think!

Looks absolutely stunning Altair! Superb job again  I particularly like the red on both the seconds and chronograph hands and the lume also looks great IMHO. I for one am very glad that you have gone to all this effort. The process has been a lot of fun.

Please count me in officially for LE #10 of 20 although no doubt there will be another thread for LE's

I think the price is excellent. Regarding your discussion points:

I personally would like to receive the box, tool and extra strap.

Regarding the X-1, I can take it or leave it personally.

Thanks again!

That looks fantastic!!

(Although I didn't say "I'd like to see the mockup first" when I claimed number 7, ;) I'd still like to reiterate my unwavering support for participating in this buy. So I still claim number 7.)

As for the "X-1"caseback, my thinking is this: if it can say "X-1" somewhere on the face (maybe in small italic font under the "Nav B-ChronoII" or in the seconds subdial?), then I would be up for paying the extra for the custom caseback. Otherwise, I think I'd rather skip the whole X-1 thing and go with a more standard back and save money (maybe with just some custom words engraved or something). This is assuming it says "Edition Limitee" on it somewhere. That's just my USD0.02. I'm in no matter what the decision on that, though.

Actually, another possibility is to get rid of the "Nav B-ChronoII" and replace it with "Edition Limitee" with "X-1" underneath. I think there would be room for that. Don't know if Gunter would go for that.

Altair, I believe I read somewhere that you have a few Steinharts. Do you have one on the bracelet? How would you describe the quality/feel of the bracelet? How does it stand along other well known bracelets?

Edit: Another question - What was decided about reserving LE numbers? I take it the old list was discarded, but is it free to just shout out a number or should we wait for an official thread on that?

definetly looks great, id be in as I said before.... But id agree it would be great if we could replace the model number with the X-1 and eidition limitee

I think the box, the caseback and the extras are definetly worth the few extra bucks. If its gotta be, then lets do it properly

No I do not own their braceley but from what I have seen and heard it looks like very good quality, especially for their reasonable prices. Its no Pro II for sure. However you can compare the bracelet to the quality of their straps.

About the LE numbers, I am sorry but I will have to disregard all those who conditionally reserved, reserved in other threads (like this one) or via PM. It makes it nearly impossible for me to keep track and for the sake of being fair I will do a new thread.

Taffy, I had a feeling you wanted that LE number  looks like you will have to battle Aleister for it

I will put the thread up sometime in the next two days as soon as the final elements are finalized just to leave no room for misinterpretation.

Anybody taking bets on who will get number 3? I am in for a fiver

It's not neccessarily a fight.

First I have to convince myself that I'm in for it. Strange actually, because I was completely convinced when the last #LE-thread was still alive. Although, when that one got discarded I started having doubts. It really looks it will be a great watch, I don't doubt that, but suddenly questions like "do I really need two Steinharts in the collection?", "how much wrist-time will it actually get, provided the other watches I have?" and probably most important "does the first two questions justify taking a chunk out of the budget for a watch I want to add during the year / a customized watchcase?". I need to get that sortened first (and quickly, if you'll throw up the reservation thread soon)...
